Baltimore Ravens’ 2025 Draft Capital Projected to Skyrocket After Free Agency Exodus
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Few teams lost more than the Baltimore Ravens have this offseason.

While it’s true that the Ravens made arguably the best scheme-fit addition of free agency, signing wrecking ball running back Derrick Henry , Baltimore lost seven key contributors on top of defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald departing to become the Seattle Seahawks’ head coach.

Baltimore Ravens Could Get League-High Compensatory Picks in 2025

But, according to a projection from NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein, the Ravens could stand to receive a league-high four compensatory picks during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Baltimore lost linebacker Patrick Queen to the Steelers, edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney to the Panthers, safety Geno Stone to the Bengals, guard Kevin Zeitler to the Lions, as well as Devin Duvernay to the Jaguars and running back Gus Edwards to the Chargers, with Henry being the only marquee free agent addition.

“It is a rare year that the Ravens aren’t adding to their draft capital with at least one compensatory pick,” Zierlein writes. “In 2025, they’ll load up with the maximum of four selections after losing key members of the roster in 2024, including Queen, Clowney and both starting guards (Zeitler and Simpson). In total, Baltimore said goodbye to a whopping seven qualifying free agents while only signing Henry as a qualifier. Henry’s modest salary canceled out one of their sixth-round qualifiers (Stone or Zeitler).”

ZIerlein projects the Ravens will receive an additional pick in the fourth, round, in the fifth-round, and two added compensatory picks in Round 6.

While the compensatory pick formula is not made public by the league, the Ravens’ substantial offseason losses could set the stage for a major haul of compensatory picks next spring.
